The first thing we see is the camera flying over the ocean, giving the impression that we are up in the sky, making the sea look small. Then it fades to the text which is in block capitals giving the impression that the trailer is about something big and important. Then we fade to a shot of an egyptian monument which gets hit by blue, this adds a bit of mystery because we don't know why this is happening but gives the impression that it is something big and powerful. Then more fading in and out leads us to looking more iconic monuments that get hit by the blue power, this hits home the fact that this is something big and powerful. Then we come in from a birds eye view shot, zooming in to a high angle shot then a cut to a ………… shot, which represents the city as being small and insignificant to this unknown power. Then they hit you with the comedy twist, they've been building up that this film is about a big powerful force, but it's actually a bunch of small blue creatures outsized in a city.
